The Samburu warriors honor their cultural heritage by expressing themselves diversely and adorning themselves meticulously. These men are also physically and mentally prepared for challenges most of us have only ever read about. Peak physical fitness is achieved during the journey to warriorhood. Warriors walk around the village with a sense of confidence in themselves exuding an enviably positive and proud attitude.
At around the age of 15 Samburu boys leave their villages and go through initiation rituals which will mark the passage from childhood to warriorhood. This group of boys will remain brothers in spirit until the end of their days on earth.
