The El Molo is the smallest tribe in Kenya. Now living on the shore, they originally lived on the islands of lake Turkana. Their huts are striking as they are master weavers. The men are known as crocodile hunters and keen fishermen. Almost faced with extinction, due to their low numbers, they intermarried with the surrounding Samburu, Rendille and Turkana tribes.
Walking around this beautiful village I found one of the last full-blooded El Molo elder women. I felt a great sense of privilege to be able to forever capture this authentic moment before it vanished forever.
